Kevin McMahon retired from the partnership in 2006. He was a Litigation partner in the New York office and the co-founder of the Firm’s Patent Litigation and Counseling group.
Kevin has more than 40 years of experience in patent litigation, licensing, preparation, and prosecution. During his 17 years at Weil, he represented clients in patent infringement litigation, in patent interferences and oppositions before the U.S. and European patent offices, and in intellectual property aspects of major corporate transactions. His practice included counseling clients on patent validity, enforceability, and infringement issues as well as on patent enforcement and licensing strategies.

Prior to joining Weil, Kevin had experience in matters concerning the development, acquisition, protection, licensing, enforcement, and use of technology and intellectual property rights for worldwide companies engaged in the oilfield services, semiconductor, electronic instrumentation, and computer-aided design/manufacturing industries.
