Casey D'Alesandro
Casey D’Alesandro is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice in New York. She focuses on defending securities class action, shareholder derivative, and M&A litigation in state and federal courts.

Some of Casey’s recent experience includes serving on the Weil teams representing:

  • Brookfield Asset Management and certain of its affiliates in a consolidated stockholder derivative and class action in Delaware Chancery Court arising out of a June 2018 private placement by TerraForm Power, Inc.
  • Churchill Capital Corp. III and certain directors in fiduciary duty litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery relating to Churchill’s $11 billion de-SPAC merger with MultiPlan, Inc.

Casey maintains an active pro bono practice. She was a member of the Weil team that worked with the Center for Reproductive Rights to secure a preliminary injunction blocking enforcement of North Dakota’s abortion ban.

Casey received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School where she served as an Executive Editor of the Michigan Law Review and as an Associate Editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. During law school, Casey was a student attorney for the University of Michigan Federal Appellate Litigation Clinic. Prior to law school, she served for five years as an enlisted service member in the United States Navy.
