Our tax attorneys advise our private equity clients on the formation of investment funds, and advise our private equity and strategic investor clients on domestic and international acquisitions, joint ventures, and dispositions.
Our Boston litigation attorneys represent clients in high stakes commercial litigation and white collar matters. They handle complex business disputes, intellectual property litigation and securities class actions. In addition, they play a key role in the firm’s national white collar and internal corporate investigations practice.
Achievements, Community Service and Pro Bono
Community service is deeply ingrained in the culture of the Boston office as attorneys are heavily involved with local charities and community groups, with partners and associates currently serving on more than a dozen boards or committees of non-profit organizations. In addition, we actively invest time and resources in a diverse range of pro bono causes and encourage broad participation by our attorneys in such matters. We represent a variety of pro bono clients including numerous referrals from the Medical Legal Partnership for Children, the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project, Greater Boston Legal Services, the ACLU of Massachusetts, and the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights – Belin Economic Justice Project. The Boston office also serves as outside general counsel to the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, and has advised E + Co., a unique not-for-profit investment fund supporting green energy and infrastructure initiatives in developing countries.
In 2006, the Boston office was named a pro bono firm of the year by the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) for its representation of Massachusetts residents through the MBA’s Community Legal Referral Program and the Boston Bar Association’s Business Law Pro Bono Project.
