David Singh Profiled as a Law360 Class Action MVP for 2023

Complex Commercial Litigation partner David Singh has been profiled as a Law360 Class Action MVP, one of only four attorneys to receive the honor nationwide.

The publication highlighted his recent achievements, including serving as lead co-counsel for Scripps Network in successfully defending the company against allegations it violated the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA).

David told Law360 how his mentor, Complex Commercial Litigation partner David Yohai, helped him manage workloads when he joined Weil. He noted the large amount of work involved in litigating class actions, adding that he is happy to have strong colleagues at Weil who are willing to help.

"He and I get to copilot a lot of these cases together, which to me is a lot of fun," he told the publication.

Law360 also noted other significant matters in his career, including victories for Burger King and ExxonMobil, along with other successes in industries such as body armor products and long-term care insurance.

David said class action litigation allows him to be a student of law and aligns with his talents and abilities.

"I love learning about the law, and class actions is one of those areas where the law keeps evolving," he said. "If you stopped learning about class actions 10 years ago then you haven't been paying attention."
