
ZAIBOON AZHAR
Research Fellow – Clooney Foundation for Justice (Global)

Zaiboon serves as the Research Fellow at Clooney Foundation for Justice where she conducts research and analyzes data to support CFJ’s data-driven approach to justice across its three initiatives – TrialWatch, The Docket, and Waging Justice for Women – identifying key opportunities for advocacy and strategic litigation through data collection and interpretation.
Zaiboon holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toronto. She has spent the last three years exploring the many ways the law can shape people’s daily lives. Whether through her work in national security and cyber law or with mining and tenancy law, she has remained focused on understanding how people’s day-to-day experiences are influenced by the systems that govern them. At the Clooney Foundation for Justice, she hopes to deepen her understanding of not only how the law affects people’s lives on a global scale, but also how it can be wielded to improve them. Zaiboon looks forward to enrolling at Harvard Law School in 2026 following her time as a Weil Legal Innovator.

ANGELINA JOHNSON
TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund/Legal Network for Gender Equity Program Associate – National Women’s Law Center (Washington, D.C.)

Angelina serves as the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund/Legal Network for Gender Equity Program Associate at National Women’s Law Center where she connects individuals facing sex discrimination in school or the workplace with the resources of the Fund and assists in training volunteer attorneys in the Legal Network for Gender Equity.
Angelina Johnson graduated from Fordham University in 2024 with a Masters of Social Work and from Louisiana State University in 2022 with a B.A. in English and B.S. in Psychology, which she completed with college honors, the highest academic distinction at LSU. During her undergraduate career, Angelina co-founded her school's first student-led movement against sexual assault and served on Louisiana's statewide Power-Based Violence Review Panel. Angelina is dedicated to ending gender-based violence and has exemplified this passion through her professional experiences providing supportive services to survivors and coordinating sexual and relational violence prevention programs at various organizations, including the University of North Texas and End Rape On Campus. Angelina is also passionate about youth and young adult empowerment and has completed service opportunities with Young Invincibles, Made By Us, and Girls Inc. Following the Weil Legal Innovators Program, Angelina will attend The University of Texas at Austin School of Law.

RONI KANE
Advocacy Communications Fellow – Clooney Foundation for Justice (Global)

Roni serves as the Advocacy Communications Fellow at Clooney Foundation for Justice where she advances the narratives of CFJ’s three initiatives – TrialWatch, The Docket, and Waging Justice for Women – through data analysis and visualization, compelling storytelling, and the development of communication and program proposals.
Roni graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan in 2024 with Bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Film, Television, and Media. She has spent the past year in Madrid, Spain as a Fulbright Scholar where she has continued to develop her commitment to issues concerning global equity, following previous volunteer work in Quito, Ecuador and an internship with the U.S. State Department. While at Michigan, Roni was invested in student leadership, captaining the university's nationally ranked mock trial team and serving as Managing News Editor for The Michigan Daily as well as president of the Stamps Scholars. After completing the Weil Legal Innovators Program, she will be pursuing her legal education at the University of Chicago Law School.

JACK MEITER
WWF Native Nations Program Associate – World Wildlife Fund (Washington, D.C.)

Jack serves as the WWF Native Nations Program Associate at World Wildlife Fund where he works to advance conservation and food sovereignty efforts. He engages with Tribal governments, Native communities and producers with a focus on indigenous plants and animals.
Jack graduated from Georgetown University, majoring in International Political Economy and minoring in Arabic and International Development. After graduation, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, where he worked in youth development and implemented a USAID grant to build a sports studio in the local youth center. Following the Weil Legal Innovators Program, Jack will pursue a J.D. at University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

RANEN MIAO
Education & Workplace Justice Program Associate – National Women’s Law Center (Washington, D.C.)
Harvard Law School
Ranen serves as the Education & Workplace Justice Program Associate at National Women’s Law Center where he supports state partners, provides resources to state legislators and advances advocacy efforts to address sex discrimination in schools and the workplace.
Ranen graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied political science, sociology, and women, gender, and sexuality studies and served two terms as student body president and led the Pride Alliance, College Democrats, and Asian Multicultural Council. He is also the co-founder of OutVote, a non-profit building a culture of civic engagement in the LGBTQIA+ community. Ranen has previously interned or worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, three Congressional offices, the State Department, the ACLU, the Brookings Institution, the DC City Government, and the plaintiffs firm Edelson PC. Following his time as a Weil Legal Innovator, Ranen will continue his studies pursuing a JD-MPA at Harvard Law School and the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

JT MULLINS
Exoneration Innovator – Innocence Project (New York, NY)
Yale Law School
JT serves as the Exoneration Innovator at Innocence Project where he supports the organization’s mission to free the wrongfully convicted by assisting the Post-Conviction Litigation (PCL) Team with resource guides, legal research and writing, court appearances and data management.
JT Mullins, originally from Hershey, PA, graduated from Yale College with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and a certificate in Statistics and Data Science. He recently completed his M.Phil in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford, supported by a Rhodes Scholarship. At Oxford, his research focused on abolitionist approaches to criminal legal reform, as well as the role of lawyers in political organizing. Following the Weil Legal Innovators Program, JT will pursue his J.D. at Yale Law School with a focus on abolitionist movement lawyering.

THOMAS MUSGRAVE
Movement Partnerships Coordinator – Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Washington, D.C.)
Harvard Law School
Thomas serves as the Movement Partnerships Coordinator at Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law where he supports grassroots-led coalitions and advocacy campaigns, and connects organizers and tenant groups with resources throughout litigation efforts led by the Lawyers’ Committee and the Fair Housing & Community Development Project team.
Thomas graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Data Science and Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As an undergraduate, Thomas led the Notre Dame Student Policy Network, a student-run organization connecting 200+ undergraduates with opportunities in policy research each year. In this role, Thomas developed strategic partnerships with think tanks, local governments, and advocacy organizations across the nation and led a team researching policies to protect low-income tenants from negligence and abuse. While at Notre Dame, Thomas also interned with the White House, the Notre Dame Exoneration Justice Clinic, and the Center for American Progress. He will attend Harvard Law School after completing the Weil Legal Innovators Program and Harvard’s Junior Deferral Program.

BENNETT ROSENBERG
Impact Investing Policy Associate – World Wildlife Fund (Washington, D.C.)

Bennett serves as the Impact Investing Policy Associate at World Wildlife Fund where he researches and develops opportunities to advance impact investing initiatives across divisions – such as aquaculture, food circularity, and regenerative agriculture – allowing the organization to leverage policies and market dynamics within food systems to further its mission of cultivating a more sustainable future.
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Bennett graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied Environmental Analysis, Earth Science, and the Business of Social Impact. As an undergraduate, he worked at his university's climate change program, consulted startups in the community, advised clients of WashU Law's environmental law clinic, and served at the Environmental Protection Agency. Upon graduating, he joined the Environmental Working Group in Washington, D.C. to conduct research and advocate for the public interest. Following the WLI Program, Bennett will attend Berkeley Law to pursue a career in conservation and environmental law.

KRISH SHETH
AI Legal Research Fellow – Upsolve (Cambridge, MA)
University of Chicago Law School
Krish serves as the AI Legal Research Fellow at Upsolve where he contributes to the development of powerful AI technology, designed to help low-income Americans navigate legal and financial challenges related to debt and credit.
Krish Sheth graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Delta Omega from New York University with a degree in Global Public Health and Anthropology. In undergrad, Krish promoted public health innovation with his work at an international non-profit incubator and through qualitative interviewing of farmers in South India regarding climate change, receiving the Champion for Social Justice award from the NYU School of Global Public Health. After graduation, Krish served with City Year AmeriCorps, supporting student engagement and learning at an underserved elementary school in East Harlem, NY. Following his year as a Weil Legal Innovator, Krish will attend the University of Chicago Law School.

CHELSEA WANG
Policy Associate – United Way of New York City (New York, NY)
Yale Law School
Chelsea serves as the Policy Associate at United Way of New York City where she works closely with the advocacy and government relations team and program leaders to support strategic action plans, develop research reports, policy briefs and testimonies, engage in policy-focused coalitions, and help shape advocacy agendas.
Chelsea graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in history and a concentration in economics from Harvard College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. As an undergraduate, she interned at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center, the New York City Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, where she contributed to the court’s opinion in Belya v. Kapral (2022). On campus, she served as the co-president of the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review and the Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Association. Following her year as a Weil Legal Innovator, Chelsea will pursue her JD at Yale Law School.
