Biography
Katie Williams is an associate in the Firm’s London Disputes and Investigations practice and a member of the International Arbitration & Trade Group.
Katie’s litigation and dispute resolution experience includes a wide range of complex commercial cross border and general commercial disputes before the English Courts and institutional tribunals under major arbitral rules. Her practice also includes investigations, employment disputes, cross border insolvency and restructurings and compliance advisory work.
Katie is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association, Young International Arbitration Group and the Female Fraud Forum. She also writes on English law disputes issues for the Firm’s European Disputes blog: In Brief.
Representative matters include acting for:
- The joint administrators of VTB Capital plc in its $1 billion claim against the Republic of Mozambique
- Petropavlovsk Plc, on a variety of contentious matters
- Various private equity clients and their portfolio companies, in connection with anti-bribery, anti-money laundering and sanctions reviews and regulatory advisory work
