I’ve always had warm feelings for my prior time at Weil. I knew that Weil was working on expanding its presence both in California and in the intellectual property space in exciting ways, and so when the opportunity came up for me to return, it felt like an easy decision to make. What has been the best surprise since your return? One of the biggest surprises is the lack of surprise. By that, I mean that the legal industry has changed significantly since I was last at Weil, and of course Weil has adapted and grown during that time too. But what I quickly learned when coming back is that the core of what makes Weil so successful hasn’t changed. I attribute a lot of that to the people at Weil, many of whom I remembered from my last stint. I think it says a lot that Weil is filled with folks who have been at the Firm for a long time and affirms that Weil is a place that people call home. Weil Homecomings | 31
