SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & WEIL FOUNDATION: YEAR IN REVIEW 2025 VOLUNTEERISM AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT 93 92 BROADER MENTORSHIP ENGAGEMENTS In addition to its BBBS partnership, Weil supported a range of targeted mentorship and career exposure initiatives designed to introduce students to various career pathways, build confidence and develop meaningful connections. Weil continued its support of the Duke PreLaw Fellowship Program, a four-week residential experience sponsored by the Firm that introduces rising college sophomores and junior – many from firstgeneration or underrepresented backgrounds – to the study and practice of law. Weil attorneys spoke to the students about their pathway to and experience in Big Law, and how to leverage a legal career to help communities and the lives of people. Our colleagues also participated in one-off mentorship engagements including partnerships with PENCIL, The TEAK Fellowship and READ Alliance. Through these efforts, Weil professionals shared practical insights into legal careers, law school pathways and professional development.
