Social Responsibility & Weil Foundation A Year in Review 2025

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & WEIL FOUNDATION: YEAR IN REVIEW 2025 VOLUNTEERISM AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT 91 90 WORKPLACE MENTORSHIP: BUILDING PATHWAYS THROUGH CONNECTION Mentorship is a core part of Weil’s commitment to expanding access to opportunity and supporting the next generation of leaders. In 2025, the Firm continued to invest in workplace mentorship programs that connect Weil attorneys and staff with students from a wide range of backgrounds, offering practical guidance while fostering meaningful, two-way engagement. FLAGSHIP MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WITH BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS Weil’s flagship workplace mentorship program, in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), concluded another successful year in April. The fully virtual program pairs Weil professionals from across Weil’s U.S. offices with college-aged Scholars from BBBS’s College and Career Success program, many of whom are first-generation college students. Over ten weeks, Weil attorneys and staff participated as mentors in one-on-one and small group pairings, meeting weekly for structured sessions. The program combined individual mentorship with group discussions and panel conversations focused on career readiness, including resume development, interview preparation, networking, job searching and navigating the workplace. Weil professionals also participated as guest speakers, allowing additional Weil colleagues to support Scholars through one-time engagements. The program concluded with shared reflections and an in-person gathering at the BBBS of NYC office in Lower Manhattan. For the second consecutive year, a participating Scholar joined Weil’s Summer Internship Program, reflecting the program’s lasting impact. Mentors consistently described the experience as both meaningful and rewarding: CHRISTINA CARONE Associate, Corporate, Regulatory Transactions, Washington, D.C. “It was energizing to connect with such driven students and to witness their growth over the course of the program.” SADYS ESPITIA Assistant Manager, Research & Competitive Intelligence, New York “I learn just as much from them as they do from us.”
