Biography
Samantha Currie is an associate in Weil’s Banking & Finance practice and is based in New York. Samantha participates in advising corporate borrowers, leading private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including cross-border and domestic acquisition financings, direct and syndicated lending, middle market and large cap financings and chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings.
Samantha has been part of the teams advising:
- EQT Partners Inc. in its take-private acquisition of BTRS Holdings Inc. (Billtrust), in a transaction that valued Billtrust at $1.7 billion
- Advent International Corporation in its $6.4 billion acquisition of Maxar Technologies
Prior to joining Weil, Samantha was a Financial Services associate at another international law firm. She received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and her Hons. B.A. from University of Toronto.
