Biography

Richard Flannery is an associate in Weil’s Antitrust/Competition group. His practice focuses on regulatory approval for mergers and acquisitions as well as government investigations across a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals, audiovisual services, health insurance, and financial products and services.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Flannery worked as an economic research analyst at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research, and as a legal intern in the Criminal Division at the Department of Justice. Prior to the DOJ, Mr. Flannery was a legal intern for the Federal Communications Commission in the Wireline Competition Bureau within the Pricing Policy Division.
Mr. Flannery received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center where he was a Senior Editor for the Georgetown Environmental Law Review. Mr. Flannery earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
