Rasheed Stewart is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice based in New York. He focuses on defending securities class action, shareholder derivative, and M&A litigation, as well as internal and government investigations.

Rasheed’s recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing Willis Towers Watson and Fidelity National Financial in transaction-related shareholder litigation, and also Elanco Animal Health and Signet Jewelers in securities class actions. He maintains an active pro bono practice, including work with the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (STOP) and the ACLU.

Rasheed received his J.D., from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was co-editor of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law. He previously served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and interned for the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. He received his B.A. from Temple University.
