Monika is the head of the IP practice in the Warsaw office of Weil. She specialises in intellectual and industrial property law, with a focus on copyright and trademark law. She has provided legal advice on various aspects of IP law to numerous clients, including power companies, IT companies, biotechnology and food sector companies, Internet portals, telecommunications companies, and publishing houses. Also experienced in commercial and capital markets law, she has advised on several IPOs and secondary offerings and is experienced in M&A transactions and the related due diligence investigations of target companies. Recent representations include: advising Polkomtel on its negotiations of agreements regarding co-operation with Bank Zachodni WBK S.A.; advising Applause Inc., in connection with the acquisition of testing software from a Polish IT company; advising PKP Cargo S.A., in connection with the negotiations of an agreement concerning the infrastructure and the maintenance and development of IT systems; day-to-day advice to Facebook, Inc.; and advising the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw on matters relating to the protection of personal interests and intellectual property rights.
The prestigious legal ranking publication, IFLR1000, in its 2018 edition singled Monika out as one of a select few “Notable Practitioners”.
