Michael Foland
Michael Foland is an associate in Weil’s Public Company Advisory Group and is based in Washington, D.C. Michael participates in the representation of U.S. public companies and foreign private issuers on securities law issues, disclosure, governance and compliance matters, including M&A and capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining Weil, Michael was an Attorney-Advisor as part of the Chair’s Attorney Honors Program at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he earned his Securities and Financial Regulation Certificate from Georgetown University Law Center and SEC University.

Michael served as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army from 2009 to 2013 and currently serves as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Michael received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where he was a Primary and Staff Editor for the Journal of Law and Policy, his M.S. in Finance from the Daniels College of Business at University of Denver and his B.S. from the University of Denver.
