Michael Bill
Michael Bill is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in Boston. Michael participates in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions.

Michael has been part of the teams advising:

  • Advent International in its acquisition of a substantial minority stake in Iodine Software, LLC, in a transaction that valued Iodine at more than $1 billion
  • Berkshire Partners in (i) its sale of a minority stake in Parts Town LLC and, (ii) as majority stakeholder in Parts Town LLC, in a follow-on investment in Parts Town
  • Nexa Equity and its portfolio company Leap LLC in its acquisition of JobProgress, LLC
  • Permira in its acquisition of a majority interest in Reorg
  • Sun European Partners in its $540 million sale of C&K Switches
  • Tidemark Capital in investment in Karbon, Inc.

Prior to joining Weil, Michael was an associate at another international law firm. 

Michael received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served as Senior Staff Editor of the Journal of Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property and a Student Advocate for the Business Law Transactions Clinic. He received his B.A., summa cum laude and with departmental honors, in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was a member of the Commonwealth College Honors Program and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
