He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2005, also completing, in 2003, a course in American law at the Center for American Law Studies co-organised by the University of Warsaw and the University of Florida College of Law. Marek also studied at the Erasmus University School of Law in Rotterdam. He became a certified tax advisor in 2007, joined Weil in 2008 and qualified as a legal advisor in 2011.A specialist in tax law, with a particular focus on issues relating to business restructurings, Marek has advised companies from a range of industries, including the financial, pharmaceutical and telecommunications sectors. He has been involved in various projects, such as advising companies on day-to-day tax issues and preparing tax reviews, M&A deals and establishing the operations of foreign companies on the Polish market. He has lectured at numerous training courses and conferences on tax law.
