Jurgita Karobkaite is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate Department and a member of the Banking and Finance group in the New York office. Her practice focuses on advising institutional lenders, credit funds, corporate borrowers and leading private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of investment grade and leveraged financing transactions, including first and second lien credit facilities, asset-based loans, cross-border and domestic acquisition financings, working capital facilities and restructurings.
Ms. Karobkaite received her law degree (cum laude) from The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2007, where she was a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court team. Prior to joining Weil in 2016, Ms. Karobkaite worked as counsel and assistant secretary at General Electric Capital Corporation, where she developed a broad practice spanning capital markets, corporate finance and corporate governance and played an integral role in the reorganization of GE’s financial services businesses.
Ms. Karobkaite also counsels pro bono clients on not-for-profit financing arrangements and immigration matters.
