Hedieh Fakhriyazdi serves as the Associate Director in Global Diversity and Social Responsibility at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. In this capacity, she helps to oversee the recruitment, retention and advancement of the Firm’s diverse attorneys globally, in addition to overseeing the Firm’s social responsibility and pipeline initiatives. In 2017, she launched Weil’s Community@Weil platform, featuring its new Volunteer Time Off program which provides administrative staff and attorneys with paid time off for volunteer service across the United States.
Ms. Fakhriyazdi previously spent a number of years at Bloomberg LP in the Corporate Philanthropy, Employee Engagement & Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion functions. While at Bloomberg, she was responsible for deepening relationships with clients, nonprofit, and corporate leaders in developing opportunities for partnerships, and the branding and visibility of Bloomberg’s corporate social responsibility framework. Most notably, in partnership with Points of Light and the National Conference on Citizenship, Ms. Fakhriyazdi spearheaded Bloomberg’s involvement and co-development of The Civic 50, the first national survey measuring the most civic and community-minded S&P 500 companies.
Ms. Fakhriyazdi serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She earned her Masters of Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from NYU Wagner and her Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Virginia.
Ms. Fakhriyazdi currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Epic Theatre Ensemble and serves on the New York/New Jersey Task Force for the Tahirih Justice Center.
