She graduated, with distinction, from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2004, also completing a course in English and European law organised by the British Centre for English and European Legal Studies at the University of Warsaw in co-operation with the University of Cambridge, and qualified as a legal advisor in 2010. Before joining Weil in 2009, she worked in the capital markets departments at the Warsaw offices of two renowned international law firms.
A specialist in corporate law, with a particular focus on capital markets transactions, Ewa has advised issuers, selling shareholders and investment banks on all aspects of international and domestic public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities. She also provides comprehensive legal assistance to financial institutions, including investment funds, and advises clients in connection with tender offers and M&A transactions involving public companies.
The prestigious legal ranking publication Chambers & Partners has ranked Ewa Bober since 2014, and since 2018 it has ranked her as one of the best specialists in Poland for equity capital markets. According to recent reports, Ewa Bober frequently appears on the firm’s key equity mandates, advising on IPOs and tender offers. “She is not put off by anything and is not intimidated by the other side. She is tough but remains calm even in difficult situations,” a happy client reports.
Another prestigious legal ranking, The Legal 500, recommended Ewa for capital markets in its 2019 edition. Another legal ranking, IFLR1000, has since 2018 ranked Ewa as one of a select few “Highly Regarded” lawyers for equity capital markets and M&A. In 2013, Ewa was singled out as one of the rising stars of the legal profession in a ranking published by a leading Polish daily, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
