Erika G. Kaneko is an associate in Weil’s Public Company Advisory Group and is based in New York. Ms. Kaneko participates in advising U.S. public companies and foreign private issuers on securities law issues, disclosure, governance and compliance matters, including M&A and capital markets transactions.
Ms. Kaneko was previously a member of the Firm’s Banking & Finance practice and advised borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including cross-border and domestic acquisition financings, middle market and large cap financings, first and second lien credit facilities, asset-based loans, mezzanine facilities, working capital facilities and debt restructuring transactions (including debtor-in-possession financing).
Ms. Kaneko maintains an active pro bono practice, including matters with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice and the Red Hook Initiative.
Prior to entering law, Ms. Kaneko worked in management consulting and leadership development. Ms. Kaneko received her J.D., cum laude, from University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Executive Editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. She received her A.B., cum laude, from Princeton University.
