Eric Emerson
Eric Emerson is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in Boston. Eric participates in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Eric has been part of the teams advising:

  • Advent International in its approximately $1.5 billion acquisition of Encora Digital Inc.; its sales of Laird Thermal Systems (a division of Laird Treasury Limited) and the antennas business of its portfolio company Laird Connectivity; Culligan International Company in its $6 billion sale to BDT Capital Partners, with Advent reinvesting on a minority basis; and Distribution International, Inc. in its $1 billion sale to TopBuild Corp.
  • Berkshire Partners in its majority recapitalization of National Carwash Solutions Inc. (a portfolio company of AEA Investors) and National Carwash Solutions Inc. in its acquisition of Zep Vehicle Care
  • Providence Equity Partners in its acquisitions of a majority stake in 365 Retail Markets, LLC and a minority stake in Seesaw Learning, Inc.; and Grupo TorreSur in its $315 million sale of São Paulo Cinco Locação de Torres Ltda.
  • PSG and its portfolio company Formstack, LLC in Formstack’s receipt of $425 million in new investments in a transaction led by Silversmith Capital Partners and PSG

Eric received his J.D., summa cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif, from Boston College Law School, where he was an Articles Editor for the Boston College Law Review, and his B.S. and B.A., summa cum laude, from American University.
