Daniel Aranyi
Dániel Arányi is an associate in the Budapest office and focuses on the energy sector. He also has particular experience in TMT (telecom, media and technology) and competition matters.

Mr. Arányi regularly advises Hungarian and international clients active in the energy and TMT industries in connection with commercial agreements, power plant and other infrastructure developments, as well as due diligence procedures. Mr. Arányi represents clients in procedures before the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Office and the Hungarian Competition Authority in, among others, licensing, anti-trust and merger clearance procedures. Mr. Arányi provides advice in various other regulatory matters, e.g., renewable energy projects, frequency licensing and competition law compliance.

Prior to joining Weil in 2011, Mr. Arányi spent five years as an associate at another leading international law firm where he was a member of the energy, TMT and intellectual property practice groups. In 2009, he held a position at the Hungarian subsidiary of a large international gas and electricity company on a secondment basis.

In addition to his native Hungarian, Mr. Arányi is fluent in English and has a good command of German.
