Ben Lazar is an associate in the Firm’s Banking & Finance group in the New York office. His practice focuses on advising borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks, direct lenders and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including first and second lien credit facilities, asset-based loans, investment grade loans, middle market and large cap financings and acquisition financings.
Mr. Lazar has played a significant role on Weil teams advising:
- JPMorgan Chase, as agent, in a $600 million amended, extended and upsized senior secured revolving facility for Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation.
- Citibank, as arranger, in a financing to Delta Plastics of the South in connection with their acquisition of Command Packaging.
- Snow Phipps Group in first and second lien facilities to finance its acquisition of DecoPac, Inc.
- Certain direct lenders in connection with the secured financing of HIG Capital’s acquisition of Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc.
Mr. Lazar also counsels pro bono clients on a range of commercial issues.
Mr. Lazar received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received his B.A. in Economics from McGill University.
