Alexander Whitelaw
Alex Whitelaw is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice, where he focuses on litigating complex commercial, insurance, and restructuring litigation.

Some of Mr. Whitelaw’s recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:

  • National Public Finance Guarantee Corporation in litigation related to the restructuring of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority and other Commonwealth of Puerto Rico bankruptcy proceedings.
  • A number of other companies, as creditors and debtors, in connection with restructurings and related litigation.

Mr. Whitelaw received his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was a Cyber Scholar, focusing his studies on cybersecurity and data privacy challenges. He received his B.S. in Economics and his B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Binghamton.
