— City of London Law Society (CLLS) and the City of London Solicitor’s Company (CLSC)
London Head of Real Estate, Rupert Jones, has been awarded the 2014 “Distinguished Service Award” by the City of London Law Society (CLLS) and the City of London Solicitor’s Company (CLSC) for his outstanding service as Chairman of the Future of the Livery Working Party, where he was instrumental in producing a report mapping the Company’s strategy and position for the next 20 years.

The CLLS is the professional representative body for solicitors and law firms in the City of London and was part of the CLSC until 2007, when it formally separated to become a free-standing local Law Society. The CLSC is the Livery Company for City of London solicitors; it is a working Company and all members are required to practise or to have practised as a solicitor within the City or certain neighbouring areas. Rupert has been a member of the CLLS Planning and Environmental Law Committee for over 16 years and its chair since 2005. He has also been awarded “Property Lawyer of the Year” by Legal Business, and is ranked by Thomson Reuters 2013 as a “Super Lawyer” for Commercial Property.
