The Young Women’s Christian Association of New York City (YWCA-NYC) held its 41st Annual Academy of Women Leaders Salute Luncheon on Friday, November 7th where Weil partner Holly Loiseau was honored for her significant contributions to the advancement and leadership of the Firm’s Black Attorney and Women@Weil affinity groups. The annual Luncheon is the premiere event for showcasing trailblazing women in business from across all industries, and Holly was one of a select group whose recent achievements and contributions were especially noteworthy.
In addition to celebrating Holly’s achievements, YWCA-NYC honored a talented Academy of Women Leaders Class of 2014 – a group of America’s most influential business women from across the country from such companies as Citi, UBS, Consolidated Edison, Inc., Colgate Palmolive, JPMorgan, and Bloomberg.
The proceeds raised by the Salute Luncheon support the many social service programs the YWCA provides for women, girls and their families in communities across New York City. This includes early learning centers for children in Manhattan and Brooklyn, after school programs for hundreds of low income youth, and the Women’s Empowerment Network (WEN), a program that focuses on preparing women for the workforce.
