Weil’s Asia M&A team was recognized with three awards at the 2020 International Financial Law Review Asia-Pacific Awards. The Firm was awarded “M&A Team of the Year” and “M&A Deal of the Year” for its work acting on the take-private of eHi Car Services. Weil advised the consortium, which included the Chairman of eHi, MBK Partners, The Crawford Group (the parent company of the Enterprise, National and Alamo brands), Ctrip Investment Holdings and Ocean Link Partners, in the $1.75B privatization of eHi Car Services.

Weil was also shortlisted for “Private Equity Deal of the Year” and for overall “Private Equity Team of the Year” for our work on the investment by TPG Capital Asia, TPG Growth and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in Dream Cruises.
