Weil was recognized with two awards at the fifth annual Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Americas Women in Business Law Awards on June 9. The awards celebrate the achievements of firms setting the standard in terms of female-friendly work practices and women leading the field in the legal sector across the Americas.

Weil was honored with a firmwide achievement award for “Best International Firm for Diversity.” In 2015, building off a longstanding commitment to engage everyone in diversity efforts, the Firm launched an innovative new initiative, Upstander@Weil, to inspire all attorneys and staff to stand up for inclusion in the workplace, community and at home. Weil was previously recognized by Euromoney Legal Media Group as “Best International Firm for Pro Bono Work” in 2015.

Securities Litigation partner Stacy Nettleton was awarded the recognition of “Rising Star” in Litigation. The individual practice awards recognize the best lawyer in a specific practice area and are judged on the basis of professional accomplishments as well as advocacy and influence in her field over the past year.
