Weil is saddened to announce today the passing of our esteemed partner Todd Lang. Todd died on February 6, 2018. He was 93 years old.
Todd’s dedication to Weil and the practice of law was renowned. He joined the Firm in 1948, bringing the total lawyer count at the time to just 18. He then went on to become Weil’s tenth partner. Todd, together with Ira Millstein, Harvey Miller and Jesse Wolff, managed the Firm until 1989, overseeing our tremendous growth during this time period and fostering our culture of entrepreneurship, teamwork, camaraderie and the commitment to the greater community that remains Weil’s hallmark today.
In addition, Todd was the Chair of Weil’s Corporate Department for many years. He helped to instill our “one firm” philosophy, seeing early on that the sum of the Firm was based on the contributions of all of its parts, teaching others by example that clients were clients of the Firm, and not of any one individual.
He is survived by his wife Joann, four children, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
