It is with great sadness that we announce that our partner, colleague and friend Joseph Smolinsky passed away on November 30, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joe was a member of Weil’s Business Finance & Restructuring practice in New York. He was a friend to many, a great lawyer, and an outstanding person. He will always be remembered for his kind-hearted nature and witty sense of humor.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and colleagues at Weil and beyond.

Joe is survived by his wife and two daughters.
