Weil Recognized As Top European Restructuring Practice By Turnarounds & Workouts in 2020

Weil has been recognized as a major U.S. law firm with a top European restructuring practice in a September 2020 special report by Turnarounds & Workouts.

The special report cited the Firm’s work on syncreon’s landmark cross-border balance sheet restructuring, J.Crew Group’s chapter 11 restructuring involving roughly $2B of funded debt and operations in North America, Europe and Asia, the prepackaged chapter 11 restructuring of Skillsoft Corporation, and Doncasters Group’s restructuring of $1.6B of funded debt through an English scheme of arrangement and an ancillary chapter 15 proceeding (Dundee Pikco Limited) in the United States, among a host of other debtor- and creditor-side achievements. Overall, Weil had more major representative matters cited in the report than any other firm, demonstrating the cross-border expertise and leadership of its global restructuring group.

All three of Weil’s Business Finance & Restructuring Department Co-Chairs were recognized in the special report, as well as nine other partners across the London, New York and Paris offices.
