In 2022, 118 partners across Weil’s global offices received a combined 218 individual awards for exemplary achievements. Reflecting all four of the Firm’s departments – Corporate, Litigation, Restructuring and Tax, Executive Compensation & Benefits – the awards hail from leading legal and business media – including The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, The Financial Times, Law360, The Deal and top international trade publications – in categories such as “Trailblazer,” “Lawyer of the Year,” “Best of the Best,” “Most Influential” and “Notable Leader.”

The awards also attest to Weil partners’ excellence in various practice areas – including antitrust/competition, banking and finance, bankruptcy and restructuring, class action litigation, complex commercial litigation, corporate governance, employment litigation, IP, life sciences, M&A, patent litigation, private equity, private funds, product liability litigation, real estate, securities litigation, structured finance and derivatives, tax, technology, and white collar.

Notably, 49 women partners earned a record 99 accolades – including “Top Women in Dealmaking,” “Top Women in Litigation,” and several mentions in the “Women in Business Law Guide.”

Many Weil partners were also recognized for their commitment to our cultural cornerstones, earning the accolades “Notable Diverse Leader in Law” and “Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year,” as well as an “Innovation Award” for the leadership of our Health and Well-Being program.

Weil’s growing ranks of future legal leaders were recognized for an unprecedented 32 distinctions, which include “Rising Star,” “40 Under 40,” “Emerging Leader” and “Trailblazer.”

In recognition of his many contributions to the legal profession and lasting impact on the legal community, Senior Partner Ira M. Millstein received two distinguished “Lifetime Achievement Awards.”
