Weil’s Litigation Department again secured top honors across practices and offices in the 2019 edition of Benchmark Litigation, a guide to leading litigation firms and attorneys in the United States.
Referring to Weil as a “national powerhouse” with “a lot of upside” and a “cohesive firm atmosphere,” Benchmark Litigation recognized Weil as a top-ranked national Tier 1 firm in the areas of Antitrust, General Commercial and Intellectual Property, and as a leading national firm in the areas of Bankruptcy, Product Liability and Securities Litigation, as well as Employment Litigation, a new category in the 2019 edition. The publication also again recognized Weil’s New York litigation practice as “Highly Recommended,” and the Firm’s California and Florida practices as “Recommended” for the fourth consecutive year.
In addition, Benchmark Litigation distinguished 19 Weil attorneys as national “Litigation Stars,” 19 as “Local Litigation Stars” and five as “Future Stars” in their respective areas of expertise. Also of note, the guide ranked three Weil attorneys as among the “Top 250 Women in Litigation,” two as among the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” and five as “Top Litigators Under 40” in the United States.
With more than 350 attorneys, Weil's Litigation Department is one of the largest, most diversified and highly respected in the legal industry. Weil provides clients with solutions to complex, multi-faceted legal challenges, including business disputes, regulatory actions and investigations, financial distress, and other potentially enterprise-changing circumstances. Weil’s litigators partner with clients not just to address immediate concerns but to integrate legal strategy into the wider framework of their current and future business objectives.
Benchmark Litigation, which focuses exclusively on the U.S. litigation market, prepares its rankings and analysis following a six-month research period, which includes an analysis of recent casework as well as interviews with the nation’s leading private practice lawyers and in-house counsel.
