Weil was recognized by The Times in the “Best Law Firms 2021,” a listing of the top 200 legal practices in England and Wales. The Firm received a commendation for its leading-edge expertise in Insolvency & Restructuring for the third consecutive year, and was noted for a dynamic approach to the business of law.
The publication highlighted the London office’s prominence in the U.K. market and across Europe as a “giant of U.S. corporate law.” It also noted that the London office celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2021. In addition, The Times highlighted Weil’s recent success advising on the restructuring of about £1.2 billion in debt for Doncasters Group, one of Britain’s oldest engineering companies, and the success of a multidisciplinary team, including lawyers from London and New York, advising Polhem Infra, a joint venture by three Swedish pension funds, on its £818 million acquisition of the data carrier subsidiary of Telia, a Swedish telecoms company.
The Times compiled the “Best Law Firms 2021” based on the recommendations of solicitors in England and Wales.
