Weil was ranked among the “Best Places to Work” for members of the LGBTQ community, with a 100% score on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s CEI is a national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.
The CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination policies across business entities, equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families, internal education and accountability metrics to promote LGBTQ inclusion competency, and public commitment to LGBTQ equality. Weil’s diversity and inclusion efforts have fulfilled all of the CEI’s criteria, thereby earning a 100% ranking and the designation of a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”
Weil has maintained a longstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the LGBTQ+ community at large. The Firm uses the term LGBTQ+ to ensure that it is inclusive of all identities to make the community feel welcomed, and make certain that nobody is left out.
WeilPride was established with the primary purpose of enhancing the recruitment and retention of LGBTQ+ attorneys and fostering a better understanding of the unique issues facing the LGBTQ+ community.
