The Dallas Diversity Task Force (DDTF) selected Weil as the recipient of its “Frontrunner Award” for the Firm’s exceptional commitment to law firm diversity in Dallas. The award recognizes Weil’s longstanding work advancing the hiring, retention and promotion of diverse attorneys and the Firm’s remarkable record throughout the 10 year history of the DDTF’s annual Law Firm Diversity Report.
DDTF is comprised of a coalition of all the minority bar associations in Dallas County, including the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, J.L. Turner Legal Association, Dallas Gay and Lesbian Bar Association, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Since 2006, DDTF has compiled its annual Law Firm Diversity Report, which measures the diversity of the 20 largest law firms in Dallas County based on various metrics. DDTF also enables the Dallas legal and business communities to benchmark law firm diversity efforts and improve diversity programs.
“We are honored to receive the Frontrunner Award in recognition of Weil’s abiding commitment to diversity in the legal profession,” said Rodney Moore, Co-Managing Partner of Weil’s Dallas office. “While we recognize diversity requires an ongoing commitment, diversity and inclusion have always been a core value of our Firm and will continue to be so. We recognize that creating and maintaining a diverse, inclusive environment where all are encouraged to excel is critically important to the successful practice of law, in addition to being a morally compelling objective in and of itself.”View more information on Weil’s commitment to Diversity & Inclusion.
