Weil was awarded “Most Innovative Gender Diversity Initiative” at the Chambers USA Women in Law Awards 2013 ceremony on January 15. The firm was honored for its Women@Weil initiative, an affinity group embracing the talents and energy of women across Weil, focusing on mentoring and networking, recruiting and retention, pro bono initiatives, and business development and outreach. Weil was also recognized for its Mothers@Weil forum, rising women partners initiative, and creation of a flex-time partner role.

The Chambers USA Women in Law Awards are the most comprehensive national awards for women lawyers across the US. The award for “Most Innovative Gender Diversity Initiative” is given to the program that "assist[s] in the retention, work/life balance and promotions for female lawyers."
