Weil Antitrust Team Advised The Sherwin-Williams Company on its $11.3 Billion Acquisition of Valspar

Weil represented The Sherwin-Williams Company on antitrust aspects of its acquisition of The Valspar Corporation. The transaction, valued at approximately $11.3 billion, is expected to close on June 1, 2017. Clearance was granted by both the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Canadian Competition Bureau on May 26, 2017 with only a single business unit divestiture required.
