Weil and Weil Lawyers Honored with Pro Bono Publico Award from The Legal Aid Society in 2014

On October 8th, Weil was honored by The Legal Aid Society with a Pro Bono Publico Award. The award honors “the outstanding work of volunteer lawyers, law firms, corporations, and other professionals” who support the Society and its pro bono efforts. Weil partners Bruce Rich, Carl Lobell, Gregory Silbert, Mark Jacoby and Elizabeth Weiswasser and associates Kami Lizarraga, Adam Banks and Aryeh Zuber were honored for their efforts on behalf of the Society and its clients.

The Honorable Jonathan Lippman, the Chief Judge of the State of New York, presided over the event, which was held at The Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan.

Founded in 1876, The Legal Aid Society handles 300,000 individual cases and matters annually, providing a comprehensive range of civil, criminal and juvenile rights services to clients who, due to poverty, might otherwise be denied access to justice.
