Weil is advising Paul J. Taubman and PJT Partners, an independent financial advisory firm founded by Mr. Taubman, on its combination with Blackstone’s Financial Advisory unit, which includes its financial and strategic advisory services, restructuring and reorganization advisory services and its Park Hill fund placement business, and the spin-out of the combined business to create an independent, publicly-traded company. Mr. Taubman will be the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the combined company.

Its team of elite practitioners provides expertise and innovative advice to clients across industries on transformative strategic events including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate reorganizations as well as defense, capital structure and capital-raising. PJT Partners’ combination with Blackstone’s Financial Advisory segment gives it access to an entity that generated $380 million of revenue for the 12 months ending June 30, 2014 and has received a #1 ranking in both global announced and completed restructuring transactions.
