Weil Advises Mubadala Investment Company in the Sale of its Interest in EMI Music Publishing to Sony Corporation

Weil is advising a consortium led by Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), Abu Dhabi’s leading strategic investment company, in the pending sale of its approximately 60% equity interest in EMI Music Publishing to Sony Corporation of America, in a transaction valued at approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is subject to certain closing conditions and regulatory approval.

Weil previously advised Mubadala in the original transaction and investor consortium to acquire EMI Music Publishing for $2.2 billion in 2012.
