Weil Advises Kinder Morgan on $5B Acquisition of Copano Energy

A Weil team advised Kinder Morgan, the third largest energy company in North America, in its $5 billion (including assumption of debt) acquisition of Copano Energy LLC, a midstream natural gas company which owns an interest in or operates approximately 6,900 miles of pipelines and nine processing plants primarily in the south central United States.
