Weil advised Berkshire Partners in its acquisition of The Portillo Restaurant Group, Inc., the owner and operator of a chain of fast casual restaurants.
Portillo’s is an iconic Chicago restaurant chain founded in 1963 by Dick Portillo. The Portillo's menu includes a variety of items, including Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, hamburgers, sandwiches, ribs, and salads, and desserts. The company has 38 restaurants across Illinois, Indiana, California and Arizona and more than 4,000 employees.
