Weil advised Willis Group Holdings in its definitive agreement with Towers Watson under which the two companies combined in an all-stock merger of equals transaction valued at $18 billion. The combined company is named Willis Towers Watson. This merger created an integrated global advisory, brokering and solutions provider with approximately 39,000 employees in over 120 countries. The transaction closed January 04, 2016.
