Weil advised Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. in the merger agreement pursuant to which the newly formed company controlled by KKR, with Walgreens Boots Alliance as a minority investor, acquired PharMerica Corporation, a national provider of institutional pharmacy, specialty infusion and hospital pharmacy management services. The all-cash transaction was valued at approximately $1.4 billion including the assumption or repayment of debt. The transaction closed December 07, 2017, upon which PharMercia became a private company.
