Weil Advised Guggenheim Securities on Securitization of Insurance Administration Fees for Lombard International Administration Services Company

Weil represented Guggenheim Securities, as structuring advisor and lead bookrunner, in a $300 million ABS bond offering backed by insurance administration fees for Lombard International Administration Services Company, LLC (LIAS), a portfolio company of The Blackstone Group, L.P. The transaction, which closed on August 21, 2018, was the first-ever securitization for LIAS.

The New York-based Weil team advising Guggenheim Securities was led by Frank Nocco, co-head of the Firm’s Global Structured Finance & Derivatives practice, and Structured Finance & Derivatives counsel Shawn Kodes, and included Structured Finance & Derivatives associates Matthew Nemeth, Ryan Hays and Hamza Khan (Not Yet Admitted in New York); Tax partner Larry Gelbfish; and Executive Compensation & Benefits partner Sarah Downie.
