International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Frank Adams has joined the Firm’s New York office as a partner. He will be part of Weil’s U.S. Capital Markets practice.
“Frank’s reputation and depth of experience complements that of our existing partners, and we are delighted to welcome him to the Firm,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “He will further strengthen the Firm’s capital markets capabilities in New York.”
Matthew Bloch, head of Weil’s Capital Markets practice, commented: “Frank brings a broad range of experience on all types of capital markets transactions and specialized expertise in acquisition and leveraged finance. With his addition, we will enhance the depth of our Capital Markets practice.”
Mr. Adams joins Weil from the London office of Greenberg Traurig LLP, where he was a shareholder. He joined Greenberg in 2012 after spending 10 years as a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. At Dewey, he was part of the capital markets group in New York and served as the co-chair of their corporate finance practice group. He later relocated to London in 2011 to build out Dewey’s capital markets and leveraged finance practice there and served as the chair of their EMEA corporate finance practice group.
Mr. Adams has wide-ranging experience in acquisition and leveraged finance transactions and high yield debt and other complex securities offerings. He also has extensive expertise on debt and equity offerings, restructurings and liability management (tender and exchange offers). Additionally, Mr. Adams regularly counsels issuers and investment banks in structuring and executing innovative liability management transactions.
“I am excited to return to New York and look forward to contributing my expertise to Weil and strengthening the Firm’s capital markets platform,” said Mr. Adams.
