Two Weil Partners Named Among Notable Women in Law by Crain’s New York Business in 2019

Marcia Goldstein and Charan Sandhu have been named among the 2019 Notable Women in Law by Crain’s New York Business. The second annual list recognized a variety of top women attorneys in the New York City metropolitan area for their achievements in the law, leadership and commitment to the legal community.

Ms. Goldstein and Ms. Sandhu were profiled for their accomplishments and impact on the profession. Ms. Goldstein has practiced with Weil’s Business Finance & Restructuring Department for more than 35 years in all areas of domestic and international debt restructuring and crisis management. The profile noted her extensive expertise as well as the lead role she has had in an array of landmark cases, a record that includes the restructurings of Takata, AIG and Washington Mutual, among many others. In addition, Ms. Goldstein was noted for serving as a lecturer at Yale, Harvard and Columbia law schools.

Ms. Sandhu was noted as a key member of Weil’s Technology & IP Transactions practice and as a leader in her field. She represents clients in matters relating to technology transfer, and the development, acquisition, use and commercial exploitation of technology and intellectual property. The publication also highlighted Ms. Sandhu’s deep commitment to pro bono service as well as her many recent accolades, which include being named Minority Female Lawyer of the Year by Chambers USA in 2018.
