Benchmark Litigation has again honored Weil with several distinguished awards announced yesterday as part of the seventh annual Benchmark Litigation U.S. awards event, which was held at the Essex House in New York City.
Weil Litigation Department partner Diane Sullivan was inducted into the Benchmark Litigation Hall of Fame – one of just two attorneys nationwide to earn this honor this year.
In addition, Weil Employment Litigation Head and Complex Commercial Litigation Co-Head Jeffrey Klein was recognized as Labor & Employment Attorney of the Year: New York, and Weil Litigation Department Co-Chair Jonathan Polkes was recognized as White Collar Crime/Investigations/Enforcement Attorney of the Year, for the second consecutive year. Weil was also shortlisted for Bankruptcy Firm of the Year and Labor & Employment Firm of the Year: New York, and Mr. Polkes was also shortlisted for Securities Attorney of the Year.
This recent recognition caps another exceptional year of distinction for the Firm’s Litigation Department, which has been regularly honored by the publication as among the best in the country across practice areas.
The nominees for the U.S. awards were chosen based upon research, conducted between March and November 2018, that included an analysis of recent casework as well as interviews with the nation’s leading private practice lawyers and in-house counsel.
