He was also noted for advising Credit Suisse on a $200 million asset-backed warehouse facility for Bluevine Capital Inc., and for advising Willis Towers Watson PLC on the securitization-related aspects of its up-to-$1.4 billion acquisition of TRANZACT.
In addition to noting his deal expertise, the article discussed his path to structured finance law, which has included a career in investment banking, and the satisfaction he gets from doing innovative and impactful work.
“I enjoy the negotiation process,” Mr. Kodes said. “Working with people, dealing with personalities, figuring out where people have room to move and where they don’t and getting the best deal for my client is always something that excites me and motivates me.”
